The Reset Program is one of the most unique and intentional offerings at P13 Dog Retreats. Because this is NOT a traditional board-and-train offered in Texas for reactive, anxious, fearful, or aggressive dogs, we want every owner to fully understand the structure, expectations, and the heart behind the program.

What is the Reset Program?
The Reset Program is an immersive, behavior-based training experience for dogs struggling with reactivity, anxiety, aggression, or just general behavior instability.
It is designed to create a structured “reset” for the dog while also preparing the owner to maintain long-term success at home.
What happens when I pick up on Fridays?
Every Friday pick-up includes a one-hour private lesson with you.
This is one of the biggest ways our Reset Program is different.
You will leave each week with:
Handling and training guidance
Homework for the weekend
Support in your role as the owner
What type of dogs are a good fit for the Reset Program?
The Reset Program is best suited for dogs struggling with:
Severe leash reactivity
Aggression rooted in fear or insecurity
Anxiety and environmental sensitivity
Overarousal and impulsive behavior leading to reactivity
Is this just another behavioral board-and-train?
NO- and that’s very important.
The Reset Program is not a “drop your dog off for a few weeks and pick up a perfect dog” program.
Our approach is deeply structured, behavior-focused, and built around owner education and follow-through.
Why is owner participation required?
Because behavior change does not last without the human side.
Dogs don’t live at my home-they live at home with you.
We don’t believe in handing a dog back without making sure the owner knows how to maintain the work.
Will this program “fix” my dog?
The Reset Program is a powerful foundation- but behavior work is a journey.
We are not selling perfection.
We are building stability, clarity, and lasting tools to help both dogs and their owners move forward with confidence.
What is the weekly schedule like?
For the first four weeks
Dogs are dropped off on Monday
Dogs are picked up on Friday
Every Wednesday is a one-hour educational virtual meeting with the 3 families with dogs in the program.
During the week, your dog receives intentional training based on their specific needs. They receive structure, decompression, and behavior work in a controlled environment, my personal home.
What makes Week 5 different?
Week 5 is the most important part of the entire program.
During the fifth week, owners must dedicate 10 hours across the five-day period to intensive one-on-one training and transition work.
This is where everything comes together.
It may require taking time off work, or getting a sitter if you have kids, and we are very upfront about that from the beginning, because this program is built for lasting change, not shortcuts.
How is The Reset different from The Retreat?
Great Question.
The Retreat is fully owner-included from start to finish.
The Reset Program begins with structured weekly training support and culminates in an intensive owner-immersion transition.
Both programs are transformational-the right choice depends on the dog, the owner, and the level of support needed.
The Reset Program is designed for owners who are ready to fully commit to real change, not quick fixes. If you’re willing to show up, learn, and follow through, this program can be a turning point for both you and your dog.
